Running a day care business can be costly. Day care owners will have to provide children’s toys, educational materials, nap mats and all. These materials add to an already burgeoning overhead. Poster printing can actually help you keep expenses from skyrocketing. Here are some innovative ways on how poster prints can lower costs and save on overhead:
1. Alphabet and Number Charts: A huge 27″ x 39″ poster print of the alphabet and numbers will be a great addition to your room. Posters add color to your walls and, at the same time, teach the children their basic ABCs.
2. Star Chart: Track the progress of the children with a poster printout of a star chart.
3. Room decor: Keep your room interesting by hanging colorful posters of the kids’ artworks. The vibrant colors of the posters will make the room lively and conducive to learning experiences. Kids will be proud to see their artwork displayed on the walls too. Digital poster printing has several options such as single or multiple quantities, semi- or high- gloss.
4. Group activities: Develop a kid’s social skills by having group activities that encourage them to socialize with the other kids. Enlarge coloring pages into poster prints and have the kids paint in pairs or groups of three. Collaborative activities develop visual acuity, social interaction and artistic abilities.
5. Class picture: Every kid looks forward to picture day! Have everyone smile and pose their best in a group picture. Mounted posters, offered by an online printing company, give you an inexpensive but high quality way to treasure such priceless moments. Have the pictures blown up to poster size and hang it on your walls for everyone to see.
Poster printing will give you significant savings as viable alternatives to expensive and impractical materials. From room decoration, art activities, to educational materials, posters work as your practical creativity and imagination boosters for the kids.

A poster printing company can be several things in one for those who seek them. Poster printing companies are also identified as large format printing or wide format printing. They are identified as such for these posters can vary in sizes and end up in huge dimensions.
Poster printing companies can print on different media. They operate and print with digital printing technology to give you prints in a variety of sizes on a range of different materials. Here are some specifications on what a poster printing company can do for you and just what you can accomplish with these services.
1. Posters can be printing on a range of paper stock – High Gloss stock and Semi-Gloss stock are both durable and quality paper materials that are suited for poster printing. These are coated paper which ideally reproduces photographic prints and even artworks in fine detail.
These are high-quality posters printing in premium paper and can be printed in sizes up to 52×100 in dimension.
2. Posters can also be printed using offset printing for quality, high-definition prints at a significantly lower price. You can get volumes of posters printed on text stock or cover stock. While offset posters are cheaper, the size is somewhat limited to a maximum of 27×39 dimensions.
3. Posters printed on vinyl can be made into Vinyl Banners. These are also called scrim vinyl banners or tarpaulins. Posters such as these can be blown up to 61×100 in dimensions. The length can even go up to more than a 100 inches. You can sew them up together and make billboard advertisements out of them. (more…)

This is what the president of Swann Galleries in New York USA, Nicholas Lowry, said about posters. “The great thing about posters is that they are accidental art. They were not meant to be saved. It’s meant to be advertising, to be rained on, torn down or plastered over. That’s the beauty of it.”
Posters are one of the most collectible of collectibles and none more so than the vintage advertising poster.
Vintage advertising posters can be found on walls where once there was fine art. Some of these vintage posters can fetch as much as fine art at auctions and sales and are very sort after.
These posters were the first advertising done to the masses and the graphics and artwork were meant to grab the attention of passersby. They were used to advertise a product or an event and meant only to last a few weeks.
There have been records set in recent times for rare advertising posters from the Art Nouveau (1890-1914) and the Art Deco (1925-1940) periods, they have increased dramatically in value over the last 10 years or so.
Vintage advertising posters can often be confused with photographic reproductions. The reproduction posters were created without any input from the artist. This type of poster is not a vintage advertising poster but if you cannot afford the real thing then you may be able to have your favorite on your wall for around $20 to $50. Many people collect these reproductions of these vintage advertising posters and who knows, one day may be worth so much more too. Who would have thought the posters made back in the late 1800s would be worth so much today. (more…)
